Rust. Rust never changes.

This is the what I’m dealing with. Not pretty. But it won’t get any better ignoring it.

Fuck this screw. There’s always one. The threads are damaged so I had to work around it.

The real damage. After grinding away what I could. This is more than I can handle but I’m going to put a bandaid on this bullethole.

Brushed and sanded

Always surprises.

Hit it all with rust converter. Cheap and dirty but at least better than nothing. I know it’s no cure, but hopefully buys some more time to save up for a professional repair. Sigh :/

Get a bit of plate welded over it off possible. Might make it last a little longer.

I was looking at a very similar situation when I pulled up the flooring of an f150 I bought a bit ago. It’s amazing how bad it can get and so fast!! It was beyond my level of skill to save it...needless to say, that was a quick flip
